We stayed overnight at a small quaint and beautiful hotel called Castle Rohet. It is in Jodhpur, India. The family that owns and runs it have been there since 1622. It is kept in its original state (In excellent repair) and this lady was a baker for the hotel, baking in very traditional style. This area is not too far from the Pushkar Camel fair where we also went. I was on a photo trip with a small group of people (15 total). It was arranged the Palm Beach Photographic Center and the group leader was Vincent Versace.
Born: Oct 21, 1956 Toronto, Canada
Resides in Monsey, New York with wife and 5 sons. A sixth son lives nearby with wife and daughter.
April 2007: Exhibited at the Palm Beach Photographic Center Community Museum Galley "Capturing at the Speed of Life".
Published a fine art Photography Book "Images of Solitude, Photographs by Andre Reichmann" in 1992 by Spectrum America.
Influences: Ansel Adams, Ernst Haas, John Hedgecoe, Vincent Versace, and Jay Maisel.
"Capturing at the Speed of Life" is a term and concept borrowed "with permission" from mentor and close friend Vincent Versace, and exemplifies Reichmann's vision. His shots are seldom posed and are always in natural settings as well as natural and available light. He thinks of it as "National Geographic" style of image making.
Reichmann travels the world seeking photographic opportunities and recently has returned from Peru, Vietnam, Morocco, and India.
Photoburst is a photo of the day contest focusing on Travel Photography.
Everyday (from the 1st until the 28th), among all images uploaded by our contributors, we publish a photo of the day (POTD).
Every week (on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th), among all POTDs of the preceding week, we select a photo of the week (POTW).
On the 30th we select the best POTW as photo of the month (POTM).
From May 2015 onwards we will cease to award gift certificates to Kiva and guest editorship invitations to our POTM winners. However, occasionally we may accept/address guest editorship proposals, as we strongly believe they are a great way of further involving photographers with Photoburst. Interested? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

... as long as there's an advanced Maths course in a (not necessarily) nearby country. He's known for pushing friends into the most expensive photographic equipment... several family inheritances have been wasted, but they often acknowledge his smart advices. Owner of a clinical eye, he can spot perfection amidst chaos as easily as a small imperfection on a perfect photo. He's also an occasional stork stalker and, above all, a caring father of two beautiful children. Gastão's current location: Covilhã, Portugal.
... give us a hand. He's our Computer Science genius and is currently addicted to photographing cats. He's a natural born optimist who makes a joke out of anything... don't mess with his Toyota though. Eventually, his stocks will rise from death and he'll invest in livestock and vineyards. He's got highly trained fingers either playing the piano or shortcutting photoshop. We hope he'll stick around after marrying his college sweetheart. In the mean time, he'll dissect every submitted photograph into binary code. Pedro's current location: Covilhã, Portugal.
... would only be true if reading travel, geographic and surfing books/magazines accounted some mileage. He checks his e-mail every 2 minutes and he's often seen going cold-turkey when offline. Still divided between several walks of life, he strongly believes in Murphy's law "If anything can go wrong, it will". Photography plays a huge role in his life, at least judging by his conversation topics. Gray hair will eventually take the better of him. Pedro's current location: Covilhã, Portugal.
