Orchha, in the State of Madhya-Pradesh, is a timeless place which takes the visitor back in time. It was the time when the great rulers were burried in imposing chhatris (cenotaphs), beside the beautiful Betwa river.
I'm a Paris based freelance photographer. I have extensively travelled in India over the last ten years, a country to which a great part of my photography is dedicated today. My approach tends to explore all the nuances and the diversity of Indian society, in which traditions and modernity live side by side, forever juxtaposed, thus forming a series of striking contrasts. Humans and their realities are my main interests, and instead of hiding behind the lens, the camera becomes a means of communication with the subjects, often resulting in fascinating and memorable encounters. fredcan's website

He's a natural born optimist who makes a joke out of anything... don't mess with his Toyota though. Eventually, his stocks will rise from death and he'll invest in livestock and vineyards. In the mean time, he'll dissect every submitted photograph into binary code. Pedro's current location: Covilhã, Portugal.
