Hi, my name is Wendy. As long as I know I liked photography, but in the early days it was too expensive for me. Fortunately the digital camera was launched and finally photography was avaible to me. I bought my first camera at the end of 2004: the Nikon Coolpix 8800. I was happy like a small child. Every free minute I played with my camera, the learning process went fast so begin 2007 I bought my first 'real' camera: the Nikon D80. It gave me more opportunities with shutter speed and aperture than I had. Besides that I wanted to be able to buy different lenses which makes photography much more fun than it already is. Since 2010 I'm a happy owner of the Nikon D700 with the nikkor 70-200mm VR II. Now I'm completely in love with photography.

Photoburst is a photo of the day contest focusing on Travel Photography.

Everyday (from the 1st until the 28th), among all images uploaded by our contributors, we publish a photo of the day (POTD).
Every week (on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th), among all POTDs of the preceding week, we select a photo of the week (POTW).
On the 30th we select the best POTW as photo of the month (POTM).

The author of the POTM receives:
a US$50 gift certificate to Kiva + (in even-numbered months only) an invitation to be Photoburst's guest editor in the following month!
