I went hiking in the Garhwal Himalayas in June this year to a place called Tapovan. It is the base camp of Mount Shivling, a Himalayan peak. I was enchanted by the beauty of the Himalayas throughout the route. At times it eve involved life and death situation, at times flat rock studded trails. But the scenic beauty was absolutely mind blowing. On my downward journey from Tapovan this moment suddenly caught my eyes. A fellow hiker who was about to turn round the corner, seemed as if he was being gulped by the huge rock. One actually from behind can never get to see what is there on the other side of the bend. I didn't want to miss this frame especially with the presence of the human element in one corner.
I am 35 years old and doing photography for the past one year. I have a small business and i am a hiker, traveler who is extremely passionate about photography of various kinds. Dipanjan Mitra's website

In the mean time, he'll dissect every submitted photograph into binary code. Pedro's current location: Covilhã, Portugal.
