Jason Kremkau

Although born in the Northeast of the United States, Jason Kremkau has always felt an affinity towards different cultures and landscapes. From an early age, he was interested in the interface between people and the natural world. This fascination led him to pursue studies in the arts, photography, environmental issues and anthropology. For the past 15 years, Jason has worked on a variety of photographic and design projects. He has published work in several US and international magazines and has had group and solo exhibitions. He worked as the art director of E-The Environmental Magazine (2001-2006), during which time; he honed his skills as a graphic designer and photo editor. But the years of office work culminated in an epiphany that made him leave the U.S. for roads less traveled. His wanderlust has taken him to Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, and Colombia.

Photoburst is a photo of the day contest focusing on Travel Photography.

Everyday (from the 1st until the 28th), among all images uploaded by our contributors, we publish a photo of the day (POTD).
Every week (on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th), among all POTDs of the preceding week, we select a photo of the week (POTW).
On the 30th we select the best POTW as photo of the month (POTM).

The author of the POTM receives:
a US$50 gift certificate to Kiva + (in even-numbered months only) an invitation to be Photoburst's guest editor in the following month!
